Sharpening

Sharpens the image, making details easier to see.

Editor

Once installed, select the camera of the scene and add the component ‘Sharpening‘. When you add it you will see something like:

With ‘Strength‘ (1) you can select the strength of the effect. In ‘Sharpen clamp‘ (2) you can select maximum amount of the sharpening a pixel receives.

Radius‘ (3) adjust the radius of the sampling pattern. You can change the pattern in 4. Select ‘Fast‘ for mobile devices. You can also change the luminance coefficients used in 5.

Finally, by pressing 7 you can access the online help and in ‘Reset‘ (7) to return to the default parameters.

Code

All code is inside the namespace ‘Ibuprogames.SharpeningAsset‘ and main component is ‘Sharpening‘. So if you want to use it you must first import its namespace:

If ‘myCamera‘ is a valid camera and you want to add the effect, you should do something like:

1Sharpening sharpening = mycamera.gameObject.AddComponent<Sharpening>();
